"WHAT THE HECK, LET'S TALK ABOUT ME." (As if you aren't tired of that already, not). I'm always a big fan of the short and simple random facts game so here it goes, five random facts about me.
1. I was baptized by my lovely husband just after my twenty-second birthday.
2. I'm deathly afraid of needles. I know I know, this seems so generic, but I'm telling you I am categorized on a whole other level. I mean this fear is written in my medical charts. I once punched a doctor. Yeah, psycho over here.
3. I've come to find that one of my biggest pet peeves is when people mix up Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. I don't know why I get so offended by it. Perhaps it's because I'm the president of their fan club. (No, but I wish. I spent hours of my childhood on their site for real!)
4. I have an unhealthy relationship with the show Kitchen Nightmares. I find Chef Ramsay's bluntness and ill-temper attractive.
5. I can list all 50 states in alphabetical order. That sounded a lot cooler in my head... oh well.
What else do you want to know? What topics would you love to be discussed on the site in the coming weeks? Leave your questions and ideas below ::winks::

I love random facts about people. Also I absolutely love Gordon Ramsey. There is just something about the way he screams at people that stops me from changing the channel.
ReplyDeleteKayleigh http://www.thewayiwanderlust.blogspot.com.au
That is so cool that you're a convert! I'm a convert too!
ReplyDeleteAnd I find Gordon Ramsay attractive too. But don't tell my husband! ;)
I love these random facts posts! Thanks for sharing :) I had the deathly fear of needles, too.. I threw full size garbage cans at nurses once, cowered in the corner, the whole deal. It's awful. But then I passed out, literally out of nowhere, while really far away from home, and got rushed to the ER and, well, it was like aversion therapy. Just needle after needle. And it totally cured me. Something clicked where my fear of what was wrong outweighed my fear of the needles! (and, btw, nothing was seriously wrong at all, a total fluke, but maybe God's way of getting me past the fear?) I don't wish anything like that on you or anyone but I guarantee you'll get past it eventually! And MK & A?? All day, every day in childhood. Just the best! :) Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did this post - it's great to get to know you better! I too have a crazy fear of needles. I was at the pathologist once and when she tried to take blood, I just burst into tears and ran away. I'm mature like that!
ReplyDeletefinally someone! i TOTALLY agree with the whole mk and a thing. i mean seriously. they are so different. i always think that how can be someone a celebrity journalist without recognising who is who? well, if it's not obvious by now, i'm a huge fan too. i'm 24, and still.
ReplyDeleteI am so, so, so scared of needles! Everytime we had an immunisation at school I would think about it every day leading up to it, and would always have to have a friend in with me whilst I had a tantrum over it!
ReplyDeleteHttp://hannahrebekahcampbell.blogspot.com xxx
Just love your blog! And especially getting to know you through post like this.
ReplyDeleteMK and A are kinda the best. I still have a drawer filled with their VHS movies.. It Takes Two is a classic.
And listing all 50 states in alphabetical is quite impressive!

HOW do people get MK&A mixed up? They have completely different faces and styles! I can understand your frustration with that one, it annoys me too lol
ReplyDeleteFunny that you punched a doctor, I'm kind of OK with needles but hospitals in general freak me out - I went to visit someone recently and pressed the pump for hand sanitiser, but there wasn't any in there, which to me meant I'd just touched a whole hospital worth of germs without being able to sanitise after. I walked around with my hands out in front of me until I found some.. I looked like I'd escaped the psych ward! xx
always love the random facts :) and #5, wow! i'm impressed
ReplyDeleterandom facts are the best! I hate needles too but not at that level. I've never punched a doctor :-) After I had Imogen I had to get a whooping cough vaccine and I was so nervous. The nurses kept saying to me "you just gave birth a needle should be nothing" but I still hate them.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute post. I´m afraid of needles too. Never punched a doctor yet but I wish I had hahaha. I love MK&A too <3

Punched a doc once? Bwahahahah. Love it! I mean, poor doc, yeah, but...hilarious. Hee!
ReplyDeleteI went through a loooong period wherein I adored Chef Ramsay and his crazy bluntness and profanity, and I still like him, but I think I'm a liiiiiiiiittle tiny bit over him. But only a little! Heh.
Love this post!
xo
Delizioso post !!! Kiss
ReplyDeleteHaha for a moment I really thought tt u were the president of the olsen club. Hmm I still get mixed up over them, they really look & dress alike! :/
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm with you about MK &A!! I spent far too many years on their board & the potpourri board.....same one as you??
ReplyDeletehaha your comment on the 50 states makes me laugh. i had to memorize the presidents in order in 3rd grade and recite them in front of the class and i can still do it to this day!! haha
ReplyDeletecheers :)
ahahhah great post :D

Great random facts! I'd like to know what your job is?

Hey, I was also the biggest fan of Olsen twins when I was younger. Hah, they were like my idols :D. Funny how things change ;).
ReplyDeleteNice to know you a bit more! :)

Love this post. It's always fun to find out other people's crazy facts :).
ReplyDeleteP.s. I was a massive fan of the Olsen twins too.
Rachael xx.
Oh that is so funny you punched a doctor! I'm afraid needles too and I get super weak when it happens. I've passed out before, so my doctors are lucky i dont have the strength to do what you did!
ReplyDeleteyes, i love the statement about the olsen twins, because i can totally relate! i used to be obsessed with each one of their individual styles a few years ago (now i have semi-changed style icons) and i would get so angry when people mixed them up or mixed up their styles. recent story, i was at a halloween party and i lady was dressed up as mary-kate.. but wearing something ashley would wear. i was annoyed?! haha, oh my.

I love this post! Right there with you on the needle thing! I am afraid my whole personality changes if there is a needle involved.
ReplyDeleteI hate needles too! My body does not react well to them at all. Although, I've never punched anyone haha.
ReplyDeleteI love picturing you punching a doctor, haha! Once again you look darling in your picture.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute! My brother shoved a nurse haha, I myself am not looking forward to having an IV everr, yuck!
ReplyDelete- Kelsey @ Time Stand Still
Hahaha, this made me laugh. My fiance is also ridiculously scared of needles and actually kicked a doctor in the face once.
ReplyDeleteWhoops!
Side bar; I thoroughly enjoyed your post about the sin of comparison, it was raw, emotional, and refreshing. I love reading posts that are expressive in that way and really open up the soul. Sometimes blogging can be so much about "look at this, look at that, isn't it the coolest?" so it's a nice change to see some more authenticity.
I love that your husband baptized you, that is just too precious for words. :) love this.
ReplyDelete1) i love little posts like this - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete2) that photo of you is lovely.
3) i am with you on needles. i am a nurse and i HATE getting needles (get all nervous, pull away from people, nothing short of crying), but i can give them with no problem.
4) silly question: how tall are you? more productive question: how/why/when did you start blogging?
You are so cute, ohmygoodness! Full House was one of my favorite tv shows because MK / Ashley were just so adorable, though I always felt partial to Mary-Kate because we're both double namies ;) Random facts are the best. xo MR
ReplyDeleteI am equally as obsessed with Kitchen Nightmares! And I agree, you can very easily tell Mary Kate apart from Ashley! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I loved this post, its so fun to learn something new about you. :) The MK&A Olsen made me crack up! I would LOVE to hear more about this childhood of yours. xo

broooother for sale, only 50 cents! :) so cute TJ and yes. yes. yess on mixing up MK & A! i pride myself by the fact that i can tell them apart! Loved/love them so much!
ReplyDeleteI love random facts! #5 is pretty impressive! kinda reminded me of elementary school when we needed to memorize state capitals.. not nearly as impressive though than listing all 50 states in alphabetical order..!
ReplyDeletehaha very nice random facts. Don't hate me, but I can't tell the difference between Mary-Kate and Ashley :) And I had no idea about Kitchen Nightmares. Is this a show I should be watching?!
ReplyDeletehahahaha!! this was great. thanks for sharing! i love chef ramsay...i just wish he wouldn't have such a potty mouth! ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally crack up at number 3–mostly because I'm the same way! I mean, hello–I was insanely obsessed with the Olsen twins for most of my childhood (and some of my adulthood, admittedly) so I hate when people mix them up!

Duude. Number five.. that is TALENT. And I AM THE SAME when it comes to number two.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, seriously hate needles. they have to use little kid needles on me if i ever go to the doctor, which most times i just refuse to go.
ReplyDeletei want to know about what you and your husband do in seattle. meaning like what is his/your job? what did you study in school? and everything else you want to share...
K
haha! i have a friend who punches doctors over needles. i also hate when ppl mix up MK and Ashley...i mean, i feel like they are SO different! i have always been really good at differentiating twins...a secret gift? ha!
ReplyDeleteHOw can you tell MK&AO apart???
ReplyDeleteI still sing songs from their "Our First Video" all the time. "I am the cute one, she's just my sister!." "Brother for sale, only 50 cents, bum bum bum..."
I love random facts! I'm deathly afraid of needles too - though I'm more of the 'bawling before the needle touches my arm' type :P
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so cute! I'm always excited to find another newlywed/instagram-junkie like myself ;)
ReplyDeleteSarah

ReplyDeletep.s. i understand your death fear of needles :)
love this post :) needles are horrible!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute! I'm afraid of needles, but I got a tattoo and said that didn't count. Still afraid of needles... That's really cool that the hubs baptized you. Most legit thing, ever.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear your testimony :)
Shut up...straight up punched him? and then what happened? That's what I want to know?
ReplyDeleteI love little glimpses into who people are. I want to know about your dreams, like hopes and dreams not crazy running through the halls of a school then realizing you are a goat that ate everyones homework kind of dreams. Dreams inspire me.
ReplyDeletei can do the 50 states too!
ReplyDeleteI love random facts posts :) Also, I attempt to sing the 50 states song learned in elementary but I'm pretty sure I leave out a few - or 10.
ReplyDeletelovely <3
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you are a convert. That's awesome. My husband is as well. He joined when he was 18 and left for his mission in Mexico a year later.
ReplyDelete:)
Thanks for sharing!
Love this. Would love a tour of your favorite spots in Seattle too!
ReplyDeletei was slightly obsessed with the olsen twins too--it is just obvious to me which one is which--which prob makes me sound like a right stalker ;)
ReplyDeleteI was also a huge fan of the Olsen twins...I had their Barbies, their books, and so much more! Great post!

Love this :) It's always fun getting to know little tidbits about everyone. Haha and that's kind of awesome that you punched a doctor. Not that punching a doctor is good, but things like that make for good stories, right?
ReplyDeleteI remember a post you did a while back about the oil method for washing your face. Do you still wash your face that way? Does it still work just as well?
ReplyDeleteA great post to get to know you a little better!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your lovely comment. Would love it if we could follow each other.

Oh my gosh you will probably hate me, but I have no idea which Olsen twin is which!
ReplyDeleteI know, I know, it drives me crazy when people mix up the Olsen twins!! I'm like that with a lot of things though. I think it's a little bit of OCD or something. And my husband LOVES Kitchen Nightmares. I find it very fun to watch, but he's obsessed. =) Well, I just started following your blog last month so I don't really know much about you, so just keep doing what you're doing I guess. I love it here regardless of what you post!
ReplyDeleteOmg! I share the same frustaration as you, I mean how hard is it to tell them apart?! And I totally can name the 50 states in alphabetical order, too! But only by singing the sond of course! ;) Ha!
ReplyDeleteOk first, you look adorable on that pic, love the total look.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I have a love-hate relationship with Chef Ramsey, how can anyone don't!? Im afraid he is going to die of a heart attack one of this days, he rally needs to relax haha
Third love this entire post :)
So cute, TJ. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha you are so adorable -- #3 made me laugh out loud. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this. It's always fun to read about people who you "get" ..ya know? Thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Sounds like a serious fear of needles. It's funny how everyone has their little ticks. You are adorable.

Love this post! Simple lists are kind of my favorite. I can also name the 50 states in order - but it's because we learned it in a song when I was like 5, so it's kind of cheating.
ReplyDeleteI can name them too!!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously are so cool.
ReplyDeletehahah i USED to be able to list the 50 states in alphabetical order through a song i learned in elementary school. anyway, you're blog is super cute <3

ReplyDeleteaww you were baptised by your hubby? That's so cool! Love the red skirt
ReplyDeleteI never understood the needle fear until a couple of years back when I had to get my blood drawn (I've never had it drawn prior), and I totally get it now. Haha.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh this is so fantastic - these are great! My roommate is so scared of needles that she passed out for 2 minutes while getting her flu shot. The doctor said it was the first time this has happened in his 30 years of expertise HAHA.
ReplyDeleteAww I love these random facts! I am scared of needles too... I ALWAYS avert my eyes when I have to get a shot or blood drawn, and afterwards I feel lightheaded!
ReplyDeleteEllie | Ellalogy
hahaha, awesome...
ReplyDeleteand I can't even imagine how affraid you must be if you have courage to punch the doctor. :D
and I have a friend who ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK when she's being "needled" :D
but she is affraid of it. mazohist :/
http://littlemisstwiggy.blogspot.com/
That last fact is awesome! Have you ever seen the video of the, like, 5 year old girl who sums all 50 states up in a song? Too cute!! x
ReplyDeleteYou look great in that red and white outfit in front of the red and white brick wall. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy husband baptized me too! It was my sophomore year of college. Hopefully posting this link won't get this comment marked as spam, but here's a link to a photo of him baptizing me: http://thisitalianfamily.wordpress.com/2011/04/24/he-is-risen/ :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am terrified of needles as well. However, I've never punched a doctor. I am super curious about this story, haha!
I love Gordon Ramsey but that show is sooo cheesy haha! Great to get to know you xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so darling. And I think it is WAY cool that you can list the states in alphabetical order!! I replied to your comment on my blog, but I wasn't sure if you'd see it...so here it is again: The roads haven't been too bad at all this week, but I'm not sure what they're like in Park City if you are going up there for Sundance. It's still a little icy and parking along streets can be a bit of a nightmare with the huge piles of snow, but we've had some sun to thaw things out a little. Bring a lot of layers, because it is absolutely freezing. We are back to having our wonderfully yucky inversion, so be prepared for that. :) Hope you enjoy your visit to SLC!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
ReplyDeleteThe one about Mary Kate and Ashley made me crack up. It's one of my annoyances when people can't tell them apart. They're fashion choices alone set them apart from one another (or at least I think so). I really enjoyed the random 5 facts. It could be fun to tag a blogger to do random five facts about themselves on their blog... or not. Just a thought. :)

I love that you can recite the states in alphabetical order! I used to be able to do that.. in elementary school. My memory is not as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a TRUE fear of needles! Hope you don't have shots scheduled soon :).
ReplyDeleteHa, I hate when people mix them up as well! Like...get it right people. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so adorable! I'm right there with you on the needles. Once I yelled at a nurse and had to have another one replace her (and I'm not the angry/violent type at all!). And my husband is an identical twin and I get so annoyed when people mix him up with his brother. I mean.... you can definitely tell them apart! Come on people! lol Oh and I am his biggest fan!
ReplyDeleteLove these picture. Utah looks so gorgeous! It would scare me to death to be on that frozen lake with all the horror stories of people falling though the ice!
xo Emma
Do you use the song to remember the states? You know, "50 nifty united states from 13 original colonies." I hope you know the song and are singing it in your head right now! :) I'd link to it in case that's NOT how you memorized them but I still seeing know how to do that on my phone.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely tell the difference between MK and Ashley. Maybe not when they were three, but definitely now. I heart them...
ReplyDeleteI feel you on needles - I'm having my blood taken a lot at the moment and I've had to become basically the rudest person in the world as I discovered that instagram on my phone is the best distraction (OH HAI I LIKE YOUR COFFEE PICTURE I CAN'T LOOK AT MY ARM RIGHT NOW)
ReplyDeletethanks for your comment - happy to discover your blog!

I have a problem with needles too, I feel like a big baby whenever I'm at the doctors ): And I seriously wish I could name all 50 states in alphabetical order!
ReplyDeleteI can name all fifty states alphabetically too! And it's very cool...
ReplyDeletenaming all 50 states in alphabetical order is waaay cool! seriously though.
ReplyDeleteso funny- we have a lot in common. please tell me you have to sing the 50 state song in order to remember them like I do.
ReplyDeleteFun! I just found your blog, and it's lovely! :) (While I'm here, I'll admit to having a lil Kitchen Nightmares addiction, too - lol - if not only because it's totally scary sometimes how gross some of those places are, and I can't look away!)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love your blog :) I am now following! p.s. cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteHahaha I'm a big fan of number 3.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to your blog for a while, but the new look is fabulous! Probably one of my favorites I've ever seen. And your pictures are looking beautiful as well.
