I spent 5 straight hours on Pinterest the other day. 5 HOURS. How does something like this happen? Pinterest is a wonderful, inspiring and dangerous space on the Internet. And besides all things babies and home interior design, I have just been loving the art of photography on the site. Now that I am graced with another wonderful camera, I just want to jump start into my passion of taking photographs. I've been looking up all of my favorite local photographers, as seen above, and hope that someday I'll be as talented as them. Now, who wants to buy and teach me how to use Photoshop? But seriously... ::winks::
Happy Weekend! Here's to being inspired!

Haha, Pinterest is SO easy to get caught up in. Sometimes I just sit for a while before I go to sleep, pinning things. And I've gotten my boyfriend onto it too! :)
ReplyDeletehaha aww, i love all these images~

ReplyDeleteOh Pinterest!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways so inspiring!!!
I've collected TONS of pictures I want to recreate =))))
But I just don't have either time or people to photograph =)))))
Plus I droped my camera a while ago so now it makes pictures kinda blurry =((((((
Gotta get a new lens some day I guess!!!!
Incredible.... xx
ReplyDeleteNumber two is so so cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you too! :)
ReplyDeleteSo good to be passionated with something like this dear! I have to say that Pinterest is my fear of spending hours through the inspirational photos, that's why I'm not sign up :P Wish you a wonderful day gorgeous!

Pinterest truly is a great boredom-killer. Tumblr is pretty good too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLife Unsweetened
I love pinterest, it's a space where I can collect anything I wanna do in the future without bookmarking all the links! If you have an inspiration, just keep going! :)
ReplyDeleteFive hours is impressive! I do that with the Sims. ;) I love the first image so much though! It's so beautiful and soft. Resisting the temptation to head over to Pinterest right now...! x

these are stunning photos and i keep thinking about photoshop but can never decide to get it or not.
ReplyDeleteand i wish i loved p-interest think i have a love hate relationship with it.
I used to marathon pinning, but not as much lately, because of the thousand pins of food that make you go to the kitchen at midnight and that is so bad :(
ReplyDeleteI love the style of this pictures. I guess you need someone to teach you Photoshop live?
...And that is why I will never get a Pinterest. hah
ReplyDeleteCan I please just say... that you are by far the most inspiring women I've ever encountered on the blogosphere? Because you are. Can I please just be you in 5 years?
ReplyDelete<3
This comment made me blush. You are just the sweetest!!
DeleteI know what you mean, it can get addicting.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all...lol I have been trapped on Pinterest without any escape in site numerous times. Second, these photos are amazing and I love the style. I know one day you will be just as great!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images! I'm especially in love with number two. They look like they're on some amazing, romantic adventure.
ReplyDeleteA shiny new camera is my number one wish for this Christmas. It's hard not to get caught up in beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'll be honest. I'm looking at your pictures (before I got to the words and all) and I say to myself, "this TJ girl is an awesome photographer!!" These are so your style, I'm still not convinced that you didn't take them:)
ReplyDeleteI have a nice camera (Nikon D40) and unfortunately am one of those people who has absolutely NO CLUE how to use it! ....those camera's are a bit intimidating for me I'll admit. My husband majors in Graphic Design and knows all the ins and outs of all the editing programs out there. He's really talented and I just sit back and stare in awe at all the amazing things he can do with pictures! Good luck with your photography! Not that you need it.... you already take such fabulous photos! Here's to the weekend!

Photoshop is a beast! But I did buy Photoshop for Dummies (gasp, I know) and have learned quite a bit. Happy photo taking!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos! I could spend hours on Pinterest too! I just wish I had more time in a day!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing- and never figure out where my times goes! But I always feel inspired after a good pinterst session :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, what kind of camera did you get? And are you selling your old one? If so, you should definitely let me know since I'm in the market :)
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting a refurbished Nikon D3100. I would sell mine but the shutter is completely ruined :(
DeletePinterest is such a time sucker, but I've tried things I wouldn't have found or thought of without it!
ReplyDeleteThat is the scary thing about Pinterest - how addicting it is! I have to use pinterest for my job since so many brides and grooms use pinterest as a planning tool, and I've actually began to use pinterest less in my personal life! I suppose now I equate it with working!
ReplyDeleteoh! I hear you little lady, Pinterest is really dangerous! makes me very ambitious!
ReplyDeletenice photos!
I totally get the photography urge thing - I have it too! And yes, Photoshop would completely change my life if I had it, or knew how to use it! I'm kind of hoping Santa will deliver it to me this year. Here's to hoping, right?!
ReplyDeletePinterest is so addictive I know that!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://coeursdefoxes.blogspot.com/
I could stay on pinterest for hours too, and I do. At work. Shame on me. Can't wait to see your new photos! Have a great weekend
ReplyDeletexx Emily
maybe that's why pinterest hasn't been working for me... it keeps saying there was an error with the server... geez TJ! hehe ;)
ReplyDeletexoxo
aw these are such beautiful, romantic photos. love them!!! you should totally take more photos - can't wait to see what you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteForget photoshop! Get Lightroom! SO much cheaper and simpler! It's a lot easier to learn. :)
ReplyDeleteand if you or your husband is still a student you can get a big discount on it from Journeyed.com
TI can defiantly spend my fair share on Pinterest, but 5 hours?! haha! -Heidi
ReplyDeletephotoshop is wonderful. i could tell you how to get it. then again. i couldn't. but in all seriousness - cs6 creative cloud is only $39 a month and includes illustrator and all of the other tools, including lightroom if you wanted it. i use cs and doing montly 40 dollars doesn't hurt as bad, and it's significantly less over time (at least for someone who upgrades often like me)

Pinterest is my weakness but man these photos are awesome!
ReplyDeletePinterest is definitely my guilty pleasure. One of my really good friends knows the founder and I am seriously pulling all the strings I can right now to get an internship or SOMETHING because it is just magical!
ReplyDeleteOh, Pinterest ...
ReplyDeleteSo, this post reminded me that I haven't spent some "quality" time on Pinterest in quite awhile -- going to have to fix that! ;)
I agree Pinterest is the best and most dangerous website. Much of my time has been spent on that website, but I've also used plenty of great ideas.
ReplyDeletePinterest is indeed a true time-stealer, although I personally think that any time spent gathering inspiration is time well spent :)
ReplyDeletelove love love sean flannigan. you should check out benj haisch. he is awesome. also jay eads and http://themanchiks.com/ they are all so awesome. must be something in that western washington water.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! And ya... I totally understand. It's easy to lose 5 hours on Pinterest. :)

ReplyDeleteOh I love it all! You have beautiful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love Photoshop. The only bad thing about it is the astronomical price. It's SO worth it, though.
ReplyDeletephotoshop is so worth it! although you can totally get away with elements (much cheaper!).
ReplyDeletePinterest sure is addicting isn't it!? I have a love hate relationship with it :) ....and yes, you NEED photoshop! It will change your world.
ReplyDeletelove picture number 2.
ReplyDeleteand yes i know how that happens. i can be on pinterest and totally forget that it's way past my bedtime on work days!!!

5 hours! Hehe! I love ya! xo
ReplyDeleteIts so easy to spend the WHOLE day on the net. Pretty things and people x
ReplyDeleteI try not to go on Pinterest because when I do, 5 minutes turns into 5 hours. It's such an amazing space but it is soooo addictive!
