CURRENTLY..

If you follow along on instagram, then you know the sweet little things I've been up to lately. But for those of you who don't, currently..
I've been waking up early to watch the sunrise. Heading to the lake to toss the frisbee around. Enjoying these last few days of sunshine laying out on the grass. Looking up at the cloud filled sky.

WATCHING: I hate to admit it but I've been on a re-runs kick of The Hills. I forgot how much I loved LC, the on-off relationship of Audrina and Justin Bobby, and the scary downward spiral of Speidi and their healing crystals. To be honest Speidi really did freak me out. And I feel sad for Heidi and her irreversible surgery. But it's like that train wreck that you just can't look away from.

PLAYING: I have the new Mumford & Sons album on repeat, of course.

DREAMING: Traveling the world has been on my mind a lot lately. And with a possibility of the mister having a 6 month work period abroad next year (getting to take me, YAY!), I can't help but daydream of where our lives could take us. Paris, Munich, Florence, Dublin. Where would you choose?

EATING: Hard core snacking on Tim's Jalapeno chips. BAD. Even worse because they are my breakfast. Don't judge.

WORKING ON: The baby sister-in-law and I have been busy working on blog designs for some lovely ladies as of late. We've had so much fun creating our little Den of Thieves business and helping to create the space that our clients have been envisioning.

  1. Ohhh, sounds dreamy! I don't have a lake nearby, would love to though, I bet I'd run more often! As for the cities, it really is a tough choice! I've been to Paris, Munich and Florence and they're all great. Haven't been to Dublin yet, but I bet it's gorgeous. Paris and Florence can be pretty expensive though (but sooo romantic, and art everywhere!).

  43. As with all your posts, I love this! Here's my little comment version:

Watching: Nothing! We went without cable all summer, and even though we have it again, and I have shows recorded, I can't seem to bring myself to watch them ... I really enjoyed our TV-free summer. More than I thought, I guess!

Playing: I also have "Babel" on repeat! Well, sometimes I switch it up with The Civil Wars' "Barton Hollow". ;)

Dreaming: ... of simplicity. I think that part of the reason my first foray into blogging didn't work out, is that I got overwhelmed with everything. The lives of others. Wants. Perceived needs. At some point, I became very unhappy. I've gotten a taste of that again this week, and I'm determined to make a concerted effort to simplify my family's life.

Eating: I may or may not have just polished off our last package of Oreos. A good thing ... because I. am. hooked!

Working On: A new design for my blog -- hopefully. I had a minor ... okay, major ... freakout last night. Fingers crossed that it all works out!

P.S. It is super exciting to see "myself" on your sidebar! HOORAY!

  44. SO fun! My husband graduates in December so we are on the job hunt! It has been fun to dream of all the places we could end up anywhere from AZ (where we are now) to DC to Spain! It's the patience that is killing me. ;)

  45. I wish the hills was still on :) haha. I'd love to go back to Paris (we went on our honeymoon). Lucerne, Vienna, Munich & Salzburg would be really cool too. I've been to all but only stayed a few days (my sis + I did a Trafalgar trip a few years ago to 10 different countries). I'd love to go back and really explore. I'd love to see the coast of Italy too :) Ahh...thanks now I'm day dreaming. I wrote a "currently" post too: http://dailydoily.typepad.com/peaceloveandcupcakes/2012/09/currently.html

  47. Paris. No question there. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  48. Paris, Munich, Florence, Dublin. Been to 3 of the 4... how to choose?? I don't know. They're all wonderful.

Paris: I mean, come on, it's Paris. I would probably choose this one, but that's just me. City of lovers, amazing art and pastries. Mmm... And the shopping!! Even if you don't end up in Paris, but somewhere in Europe, promise me you'll at least visit Paris?

    Munich: Never been.

Florence: Of the 3 cities I visited in Italy, Florence was my favorite. Great pizza, love the feel of the smaller city with so much culture. And the art is amazing!! Oh, and how I could forget about the gelato?

Dublin: The Irish are just awesome. Plus you'd get to visit other parts of the Irish countryside, which are just stunning. I wasn't too excited about Dublin itself, but Ireland as a whole is *fabulous*.

I wish my hubby was going to have 6 months abroad! How'd you hook that deal up??

I spent 4 months living in Madrid, so I'm kind of biased, but I absolutely love Madrid. Go for that if it's an option. And London! Okay, I have got to stop because a) I know you haven't made it this far and b) I'm about to buy 2 tickets to Europe and I know my hubby wouldn't be too thrilled ;)

  50. I don't know how I've never tried Tim's Jalepeno chips! I've added it to my grocery list.

and Paris gets my vote! I think it's even better than all the hype and just feels so dreamy and romantic. but really, living abroad anywhere is such a fun adventure when you've got a partner in crime.
