REMEMBERING...

image via
Today is September 11. And for many this day is always remembered as the day the Twin Towers collapsed. The day the pentagon was attacked. The day brave civilians fought to save the White House. The day America was broken.

September 11 is the day I see America and the world united. It is the day we all cried together, mourned together, and stood up together. Today I am choosing to remember all of the good in the world, and in people. I am saluting America's men and women in the police force, fire department, military, navy. I am praying for all those who lost a loved one. I am praying for all those who are still affected today because of it's aftermath and the prejudices that people hold.

Always remember September 11. Always move forward.

  19. "Always remember September 11. Always move forward."

Love this! I think that we should never forget but I hope that there is healing for everyone personally touched by this. In remembering, I hope that it reminds us all to be a "stronger" America.

  29. i'm always quite unsure of how to act on september 11th. i even took a class my freshman year of college that focused on it (my english class just did, it was just normal english) but we read the giant 9/11 book of reports as an assignment and had to watch one of two films. it was really quite interesting. also, i find it terribly ironic that the day, actually while it was happening, was the day in 8th grade science that we made paper airplanes and had a contest to fly them before it crashed. our door was closed and we walked out all talking about our paper airplanes and then realized everything was weirdly silent.

'always move forward' is a great sentiment for this day.
