^^ Stealing kisses 😘 ^^
^^ Side hugs always. Those little smiles, ahhh! ^^

^^ Too cool to take pictures with mom anymore... ^^

^^ Picking pumpkins for her birthday party ^^

^^ Our little family! 💞 We had to bribe her with food to take pictures with us, ha! ^^

'Tis the season! The holidays just get that much better when you have a little one to share it with. We're taking Zoe trick-or-treating for the first time this year. I know she doesn't quite get the concept (and the candy is mostly for me and Eric) but watching her little eyes light up and seeing her brain try to put things together is just the best and most rewarding. We went to the pumpkin patch the other weekend with our friends Anna and Jake, and their little one Cohen (I swear Zoe and Cohen will get married one day, they get so excited to hug and kiss each other... or at least Zoe does when Cohen isn't running away from her). If you haven't died over the cuteness of those pictures just yet make sure to take another peek. They are quickly becoming my favorites!

We just wrapped up celebrating Zoe turning TWO this weekend (can you believe it?!) with a Halloween party! It was so cute seeing all of Zoe's little friends dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Nothing better! Can't wait to share those pictures soon. If you need a recap of what I did last year for her first birthday you can see it here! So make sure to check back soon to see what Zoe is going as for Halloween!

Until then, xo

After finding out that we were having a little girl two years ago, I couldn't wait to jump onto Pinterest and look up every cliche thing there was about little girl rooms. Typically I am a neutral person at heart, but the idea of having soft girly pieces sounded just perfect. Imagine my surprise when Eric told me he wanted to paint her room PINK! It took a little convincing on his end but I finally caved (of course we compromised and made it the faintest pink in the entire world). By the end, Zoe's room is actually the only completed room in our entire house, ha! Of course kids rooms are never finished. As she grows so does her room. We used to have up these pretty tassels above her bed from tassellove, but just this past week Zoe became too tall and started pulling them down. I loved having just a simple piece behind her crib so I loved when I stumbled across this pretty Meri Meri Wool Garland from The Baby Cubby that were shorter in length to keep out of her reach. Her stuffed animal collection has started to grow so adding in this Meri Meri Tassel Basket was another add on. Can we also talk about that adorable Mermaid! Gah! Apparently I really like Meri Meri products...

If you've never heard of The Baby Cubby before, definitely make sure to check them out! They carry name brand baby items and price match everything (even Amazon!) so you definitely know you are getting a great deal! They also only carry the highest quality and safest gear so that you can shop confidently. This was definitely important to someone like me that freaks out about every little thing. Zoe is a daredevil AND taste tester when it comes to everything so I want to make sure that what we keep around her is sturdy and safe. The things I've researched since having this little one is kind of crazy, but so well worth it. I sleep well knowing that her room is a safe zone, especially because the older she gets the more she wants to play in her nursery. My favorite thing is when she wants to play in her room with all of her stuffed animals. There is nothing more endearing than seeing your little ones imagination bloom. I love peeking around the corner and seeing her having little "conversations" with her toys. Toddlers are incredible, and so observant I've come to find. I just can't wait to see what little things we keep adding in there. I'm thinking a pretty laced teepee for Christmas!

What are some of your favorite finds for your babes nursery?

A little behind, but wanted to share these little gems from our Fourth of July! Every year we always head off to the mountains in Idaho at Eric's family vacation home. It's in the cutest little mining town where we go ATVing and dirt biking. Lots of walking and thrifting. I'd share a link to our past times in Wallace, but something is going haywire with photobucket at the moment so just believe me when I tell you how magical it all is!
Zoe rocked a giant bandaid on her forhead over the holidays, and I'm pretty sure it was the cutest thing ever. Everyone that we would bump into kept asking what happened. She took a little spill off of a curb (babies are SO fast). Not exciting, but you can tell it doesn't bring her down! She's still rocking a little scar which I'm hoping will fade over time. Man I just want to squish her!!

Zoe could stay in a pool all day every day if you let her. Every time we leave the gym she just wants to sit and watch everyone going swimming. Need to sign her up for swim lessons again. We even bought a little pool for our backyard that she walks in and out of all the time. After dinner instead of cleaning her off I just throw her in there (clothes and all), and she loves it!
This is one of my most favorite pictures right now. How cute does Zoe look running down the block. What's even funnier is the fact that she was heading straight towards Eric and then b-lined it right after him without the hug. Tough love, hehe.
 Why so serious?
My little wallflower. Seriously, I could just sit and take pictures of her all day. And I do! HA!

Baby Z and her Grandpa Tom after off roading!
My little mini me! I love my little blonde haired, blue eyed babe!
The only way to stay cool is with the famous Huckleberry Shakes, yum! I think Z shared about 2 sips of this one....

Do you know the book, "Blueberries for Sal"? I read it to Zoe every so often and when we were going raspberry picking I just kept thinking of this book. More berries were consumed than picked (whoops), and luckily we didn't loose Zoe to any bears. However, we did lose her to some horses. It felt like we were in Tuscany out in the middle of no where in the blazing sun and then we turn down another vine path and standing right there are the prettiest horses! We had this little hidden pathway and horses all to ourselves. So magical! Here's to a magical summer!

LET'S BE HONEST MAMAS: Technology with Kids

Life update! I feel like Zoe has hit the terrible two's early. She's still the funniest, craziest, happiest, talkative, little bundle of joy ever, but homegirl has got a sassy side. Welcome those throwing, hitting, kicking, rolling on the floor screaming tantrums. Luckily nothing out in public (like the grocery store) just yet, but man those toddler tantrums are real! So much of her tantrums come from her not being able to express herself just yet. Because she's so independent she wants to be able to do things all on her own and when she can't she just gets so frustrated with herself. And I don't blame her, I'm the same way! Another trigger for her tantrums is the phone. As soon as she sees a cellphone she wants to play with it immediately. If we let her she could watch videos of herself alllllll day long! I basically hide my phone until Zoe goes down for her naps or when she goes down for the night. Which brings me to today's post!

It's another Let's Be Honest Mamas post (you can read all about that and how it started here). A big shout out to our girl Hannah for bringing us together! And today we are talking all about technology with little ones. Of course the use of technology with kids is such a personal opinion, so please when you read on know that what I have chosen to do is what works for me and my family! Okay, now that that is out of the way let's get to it.

I wish that you could hear her laugh through these photos. She has the best laugh!! My baby girl is a full blown toddler now and I have to say I love it! As much as I miss little baby snuggles, seeing her personality blossom is just the greatest! Just a little bit about 19 month old Zoe. She is obsessed with wrestling, being chased, tickles, throwing balls, everything about being outside and playing with rocks and dirt. We bought her her own little baby doll and stroller and now she's all over that too. I even came downstairs to find her pretending to change her baby's diaper. It's amazing just seeing how Zoe observes and absorbs everything around her. She loves to say "dadadadadadadada" alllllll day. She also says "baby", "daddy", "puppy", "go away" (not sure where she learned that from, ha), "what's this?", "ball", "mama" (only when she's really sad), ummmm, I know she says a few more things but I'm drawing a blank right now. She's a dream baby going down for naps and bed time. She just gabs and gabs to herself until she falls asleep.

Speaking of sleep, isn't this the cutest crib sheet you have ever seen? They are from Madly Wish! They are so soft, vibrant and stretch to fit all sizes for crib mattresses. Make sure to check out their other pieces here, because they are seriously the greatest! Also their customer service is the bees knees!

Make sure to "read more" to see more pictures of Zoe rolling around!

This has definitely been the rainiest year in the PNW that I can remember. Bursts of sunshine have been few and far between, but any sign of good weather you can bet we are out the door. Zoe is such an outdoor girl, rain or shine she's happy. The other week we hit the low 70's (which felt like heaven), so we took our little family on a picnic to the park. Apples are on constant repeat at our place so apples it was. Love my little family!
