PARIS, FRANCE

Europe was such a whirlwind of a trip! It was even more special getting to spend time with my in-laws in a different country. The word of the trip was "beautiful", because around every corner was something even more amazing, something more jaw-dropping, something more beautiful! Paris was our last stop of the trip. By this time, Eric and I finally got to spend one on one time together and explore the city of love! Paris will always have a little special place in my heart because this was the place where Eric and I shared our exciting news that we are EXPECTING A BABY GIRL due in October! I'll speak more about this later, but just in case you missed it!
photo IMG_2888_zpsnlbwhhcw.jpg Back to Paris... We only had 24 hours in this incredible city and I didn't want to waste any minute of it! As soon as we got off the plane, we took the metro to our hotel, changed clothes, and hit the ground running! First stop was the Notre Dame. Because we had limited time we didn't go inside, but we decided to climb to the very top to get the 360° view of the city. We also got to see the bells and gargoyles (that I couldn't help but secretly wish would come to life like in the movie). photo IMG_2892_zpsmmqfip2f.jpg
^^ While we waited in line to climb up top of the Notre Dame, Eric ran across the street to grab a yummy ham and grilled cheese sandwich from one of the food vendors. Thanks for the recommendation Allison! We also were fully entertained by a street performer who was honestly one of the best I had ever seen. So fun! ^^

^^ Oh hello Eiffel Tower. I'll be coming to you soon!! ^^

We were debating back and forth whether or not to go inside the Louvre. We only had about 1 hour until it closed but when it started pouring rain, we thought, why not?? Lucky us there were no lines (because we were so late) and we walked fast through the entire thing. We're both not huge museum poeple so it wasn't too disappointing to spend such a short time, but man, that place was HUGE and incredible! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Heads up, they are closed on Tuesdays. Why?????

^^ All Eric had his heart set on was a baguette. The next morning, while the sun was shining, we walked two miles from our hotel to the cutest little bakery. I had read such great reviews. Eric was satisfied, and I nabbed myself this scrumptious apple pie concoction that I wish I could remember the name of! ^^

^^ During another downpour we took advantage and headed straight to Angelina's for some hot chocolate and dessert. This lemon tart was A++++++. And I wish I had taken a picture of the inside, it was so fancy! ^^

^^ For some reason, when I saw the Arc de Triomphe it reminded me of the MK&A movie Passport to Paris. Gosh, I love that movie! Needless to say, it made me excited. I wish we had time to have climbed to the top! ^^

Aw Paris, you were too short lived. I guess it's just another excuse to head back someday and see you again, but with more time! Miss you already Europe, but can't wait to see what our next adventure will be!!
