SUMMER DREAMING

With the Summer season officially here, my entire mindset has been devoted to warm activities and wanderlust traveling. I hope to mark off some new places to explore and stepping out of our comfort zone. We already checked off glass blowing the other day. Make sure to wear thin layers, it gets HOT in there!

Other things I hope to accomplish...

DIY // Mini piñatas. Tissue paper banner. American flag.
Eating // Popsicles and watermelon.
Traveling // Road trip & camping along the coast. Ferry rides to Orcas Island. Weekend trip to Vancouver.
Needing // Birkenstock sandals.
Wearing // Flowy tops, distressed jeans and comfy sandals.
Learning // To work with flowers. I've been so inspired by all the lovely florists I follow on Instagram.
Practicing // Patience, and accepting that not everything goes according to plan.
Listening // To "Ultraviolence" by Lana del Rey.
Reading // Looking for Alaska. I'm on a John Green kick.
Dreaming // Of Europe.

What are you looking forward to this Summer?

  16. its funny it must be something in the air because I have been feeling like going "out side, of my comfort zone" lately, I just feel the need to go explore.
I'm looking forward to lots of ice cream and walks in the park with my little family.

  17. Now that's the dream. The only thing I really want to do at this point (it's SO humid in nyc!!) is grab a variation of frozen fruits and camp out at a park somewhere and go haaaard!

  21. I think summer always evokes wanderlust and nostalgia. Something about the hot days and the long stretches of evening that make us lust for travel, for excitement, for the past. Also, "Looking for Alaska" is my favorite John Green novel. I know a lot of people love "The Fault in Our Stars," but "Looking for Alaska" was more darkly intriguing, in a way, and I guess I appreciated that.

  22. love this summer list you got going on here. did you seriously take a glass blowing class?? how freaking fun! what did you make? was it difficult? oh, and patience? you and me and the rest of the world, mama. ;-) it's one thing i will never fully master, but i hope to be more and more aware of it and handle situations with a response and not a reaction. do you know what i mean? i'm very quick to REACT but i think taking a deep breath and responding is a much better choice. anyways, happy summer! (i have a john green book that is on my to-read list! excited to start it.)

    1. Yes! It was a lot of fun, and definitely very warm in the room! Eric made a float and I made an ornament. We took a beginners class so it was very easy. You definitely want to pay attention though because everything in the room is pretty much a weapon of mass destruction ;)
