OH HEY....

Yeah, me either really. This past month has just been a whirlwind full of weddings, European travels, jetlags, the works. And somehow (due to poor planning and many other stupid things) I signed Eric and myself up for an overnight nanny gig for two weeks, just one day after getting back from Germany. Yes, I am an idiot. Today marks our first week of survival and to say that my body is craving SERIOUS sleep is an understatement. To all you mommies out there, I don't know how you do it. Oh, to sleep in past 6AM seems like a distant memory. All Eric and I spend our nights talking about now (before passing out) are all the amazing sleep-ins and date nights we will have when all is said and done. Sushi, movie nights, paid for massages.

So after all of this rambling I just wanted to say don't give up on me and this here blog. Come the 17th I'm all yours!!!
xoxo TJ

  2. Oh yesss... the lack of sleep (but expectation to perform like you had 12hrs of rest) is enough to make anyone not want to have kids. Until you pop them out for yourself LOL.

I hope you enjoyed Germany. May 17th is ALMOST here!

  4. Haha I have a son so I understand what you mean about the lack of sleep. But seeing my boy all happy and cheerful the next day totally makes up for it. However.. I'll nvr baby sit. It really sucks the energy out of you. Lol.

  21. Yes, I would have to agree! Being a mom is no easy job. I don't have any little ones of my own, but I have friends who have babies and it's a ton of work. Glad to see you back!

  22. In one of our previous wards my husband and I became the go-to couple for babysitting overnight when mom and dad were going out of town. It was HARD. We watched 6 kids for like 5 days once and boy were we tired. I definitely called my mom and said a big THANK YOU to her after having a glimpse of what she has been doing for 27 years and still isn't done).
Even though it was hard we also liked doing it because we got to see how different families "ran" their homes and we could talk about the things we liked and didn't like and talk about how we want to run our home when the time comes.
Here's to hoping you get a random nap soon! ;) Good Luck!
