SHIRT: TAILOR & STYLIST // JEANS: MADEWELL // SHOES: STEVE MADDEN
I can't remember the last time I did a mini outfit post, but when Tailor & Stylist sent over this lovely top I knew I had to go for it. Anyone who knows me know how much I love my stripes, add on little elbow patches and my heart is sold. This top is the perfect fit for those lazy days in your sweats or for those nights out with friends. Or in this case, taking a little trip around my old elementary school. Go Dolphins!
Monday morning I woke up with the worst head cold. And these past few days I've been doing all I can to get rid of it before my surgery in exactly one week. Hot showers, advil for days, throat spray, hot chocolate. But I'm in need of more fast home remedies. If you know of any, send them my way! In the mean time I'm locked down in quarantine and enjoying Wendy Williams' 'Hot Topics' segments!

I love your outfit! :) I love tops that have elbow patches on them! Also I hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteXx,
Becky

I hope you get well soon TJ, love the outfit x
ReplyDeleteI love your hair!
ReplyDeleteAhh, love the top! And your boots! Where are they from? Hope you're feeling better soon, and all the best for your surgery. I don't know what advil is, but Berocca is really good for a fast vitamin fix and always helps me kick colds in the ass, and echinacea (sp?) long-term is great for giving your immunity a boost :) x
ReplyDeleteMy shoes are Steve Madden, from Nordstrom ;)
DeleteI awlway go for spicy soup! -Heidi
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your cold! It depends on if it's a sinus headache (feels like a rhino is sitting on ur head and it hurts to look left to right) OR just a general cold. If it's a sinus cold then you'll need a decongestant, steam bath, and gargling with warm salt water, and actually this will help with most colds.
ReplyDeleteHope it helps, and what an adorable sweater. If anything, that outta cheer u up! lol

ReplyDeleteLOOOOVE elbow patches too! you look lovely
awww sorry about your head cold girlie. I just know that every time I get sick or feel I can't breathe... my Mom used to put a boiling hot pot of water in front of me with an open bottle of Vick's... and sit there with a big heavy blanket over you. Basically to sweat it out. Super hot stuff (like an instant Sana) but feels SO good after about an hour or so :/
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! And you look adorbs!
Love that shirt!! You look beautiful as always! xx. McKenna Lou

ReplyDeleteThat top (and those shoes) are killer dude! I live so far from my elementary...then again I guess I always lived sort of far away! (Go Sonics)! LOL!
ReplyDeleteFor a cold/flu I sleep with Nyquil and eat loads of chicken noodle soup (it has to be Campbell's).
You look so pretty TJ and do feel better dude! I think it is so funny you listen/watch Wendy Williams. She is just too much!

Cute top! Sorry you're sick...it's the worst! I spent what felt like the entire month of January being sick. I rely on lots of Gatorade, Airborne, and SLEEP. Take care of yourself!

I am such a fan of home remedies and am trying to learn more. My MIL is big on essential oils, I would ask around about them, they can definitely work.

AH! I love elbow patches, you look great TJ! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is super cute!! Try running the shower and letting the bathroom steam up a bit and just sit there. I do that whenever I'm congested. Those emergin-c packets that you pour into water are my best friend when I'm sick. Green tea, tea with lemon and honey and clove coconut tea (http://bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/blog/2013/01/clove-coconut-tea.html).
ReplyDeleteI hope you start feeling better soon!!
xo
Rachel
super cute sweater!! love the entire outfit. and ugh sorry you are sick. i just got over a week long sickness, rest up, you will need it for your surgery for sure!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Sorry you're sick!! Hope you're feeling better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteWellness formula and Oj. You can get a bottle at whole foods. I swear by them. 3pills-- every 3 hours. The Oj is cause they taste kinda gross but the Oj masks the taste. It's totally worth it me. Feel enter soon:)
ReplyDeleteoh..so cute.i always liked stripes.
ReplyDeleteget well soon dear
xo sabbi
Aw! Feel better, TJ! Sickness is not a fun time. :/
ReplyDeletetake a lemon and slice it up, put it in a mug and throw some honey on it, then boil some water and add it... i just add more water and honey throughout the day and keep the lemons until they are weak. at night-time add a little shot of whiskey to make it a hot-toddy and help you fall to sleep easy.
ReplyDeletefeel better soon!
You look crazy cute girl! Stripes are my favorite! Hope you get healthy soon- those things knock you out.. yuck.
ReplyDeleteLove the elbow pads. Rest is the most important, I know it's boring but that is the best way to get better faster. feel better!
ReplyDeletexo
Dude. That cold is awful. Lots of hot water with lemon and honey and elderberry helps fight off colds!

The only true remedy for a cold is a hot bath followed a few cups of lemon tea and a Downton Abbey marathon. Fact.
ReplyDeleteThat shirt <33 I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my latest blog post. :) I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging..
I hope you feel better soon. I'm not sure if you drink alcohol, or are against it (so excuse me if so), but the past couple of times that I've been sick, I have taken a shot of whiskey, and to be honest.. It helps so much! Lol It instantly opens me up, and I have always felt better the next day!
Perfect casual look!

ReplyDeleteI love the shirt with the elbow patches, it makes the shirt.
ReplyDeleteOscillococcinum...it's a homeopathic remedy that they are starting to carry in stores like CVS. Try it and have faith because I think half the time that's what makes these things work.. :) Take care and feel better,
Shauna
I've been all about elbow patches and yet to own any... there is a problem there. More importantly, you look darling. As usual :)

Garlic and lemon tea. Kills all that ails.
ReplyDeleteFresh garlic, crushed, a few slices of lemon, boiling water... smallish teacup to make it concentrated and drink it while its as hot as you can stand it (preferably without burning yourself). Then, eat the garlic. If you're sick, its unlikely you'll feel like making out anyhow. ;)
i have a (not-so) secret love affair with elbow patches. and those boots! i own them and am so obsessed.
ReplyDeletealso, try buying a sinus rinse bottle/package from the grocery store. they've worked wonders for me in the past! feel better soon!

Garlic is a natural antibiotic and a great way to beat nasty germs. I like to get garlic spread and smell for the next two days (but feel better!) and I've also made garlic toast, and even swallowed pieces whole (that was worst-case scenario).
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better!
