INSIDE THE CREATIVE TOOLBOX

I got this lovely idea over on my new blogging obsession, Promise Tangeman. Yeah, you'll thank me later for this discovery.

Everyone has their own way of breaking that writers block and getting those creative juices going. We have those trusty routines that always give us that extra boost of energy, like we could get through anything. So here are some items from my "personal creative toolbox" that help me do what I do best. Make sure to share some of your own in the comment box and pass that good energy around!

1// WHITE SPACES
I absolutely love what white, crisp spaces have to offer for the imagination. Nothing to distract you. A nice clean slate to lay your ideas all out and add those pops of color!

2// PORCELAIN RAFT
Good music gives you that extra burst of energy and excitement. Heck, throw in a little '90s for all those fun flashback memories. And if you want, take a short break, get up, and move those legs!

3// GET OUTSIDE
Nothing gets ideas flowing like taking a stroll outside in nature. A change of scenery always does the trick.

4// SEARCH THE WEB
There's this little thing called the world wide web, and it's kind of my best friend. Read threw your favorite blogs, online magazines, the news... anything that inspires you. There's nothing wrong with bouncing ideas off each other to get us back on track! That's what's so incredible about the Internet!

5// A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN
When in doubt, girls night is your best friend. Take your mind off blogging and just capture all the fun memories you are having in the moment. Nothing beats silly pictures with good friends.

6// WATCH YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE
Sometimes when I want to get out of my head I like to relax on the couch, get myself a little snack and pop in one of my favorite movies. What's better than laughing out loud by yourself to loosen up that wandering mind.

ANNIVERSARY HIKE SCRAPBOOK

OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY

One year ago today I married my best friend. Eight years in the making people! I think it's my favorite when you brush my hair back every morning in bed and tell me how beautiful I am. Or that you sing me Disney songs when I'm sad. Or that you make me more adventurous. Or just the fact that you make me laugh every single day. Yep, a girl could get used to this. I love you Eric. Happy one year! Here's to forever ::winks::

WHAT AM I DOING UP AT 6:30AM

Necklace: c/o Cheerfully Charmed

These past fews days have been the perfect 75 degrees, and the mister and I have been taking full advantage of exploring our new little neighborhood, throwing the frisbee and reading out on the deck. And yesterday was no exception. We decided to take full advantage of this summer day and walked around the next door neighborhood, picking out which houses we could see ourselves living in. Pretty much it all came down to the backyard. Boys and their backyards.

Moving on... Calling all romantics. Tomorrow is the hubby and I's one year anniversary. Fist pump!
And we are terrible planners. Here's where you come in. What are some fun, romantic and down right cheesy ideas you all have for me? Ready, and go!

LITTLE LADY: BILLIE JEAN

Happy Wednesday my dears! Today we have the lovely Crystal from Billie Jean on the blog today. She has got to be the sweetest momma on the block. After having her beautiful daughter, she changed her whole life around. Read more about this newly Baton Rouge beauty, her life changing experiences, and what has got her through it all by checking out her site... after this interview of course! ::winks::

I would love to have you all on board as His Little Lady sponsors, but spots are limited. All information can be

LITTLE MOMENTS IN THE NEW APARTMENT

+ Eating our first meal at the new apartment on emptied moving boxes.
+ Making a couch out of piled high blankets watching Monsters Inc.
+ The mister quietly playing his guitar in the early morning hours.
+ Having fun spending all day putting our new furniture together.
+ Eating cereal on the floor, in the dark, listening to the morning rain.
+ Using a dishwasher for the first time in a year.

Nothing beats those simple and humbling moments.

MOVING DAY

Yesterday was the big move in day. The rest of the week will be devoted to unpacking and searching for furniture to fill up our new little place we like to call home. So far we have a mattress... Hey, sleep is the most important thing people.
Pray for us that this whole process will go by quickly. Until then, you can all day dream with me what our future home will look like someday.

LITTLE LADY: VIVA LA JUSSIE

Happy Wednesday my loves! I just wanted to start off by saying thank you so much for all of your understanding, kind words and patience. I'm definitely taking this time to re-energize myself and get all my priorities back in order. Can't wait to jump back in regularly again and be back to my normal self. Until then, I have such lovely ladies on the sidebar that you should definitely check out, like todays Justine from Viva La Jussie. Yep, she's pretty dang adorable!

LESSON LEARNED: IT'S SUMMER. LITTLE BLOGGING BREAKS ARE NECESSARY.

Stumbled across this beauty the other day and a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. This is one lesson I am still adjusting too. After a little over a year on His Little Lady, I'm starting to feel okay with "letting go". It's okay if I don't have a post scheduled for every day of the week. It's okay if I spend the day all to myself, no laptop in tow [cue the gasps]. So instead I've left myself a limit. No blogging once the mister is home from work. Now that the hubby is a working man, its important to keep the relationship alive; to give each other the full attention that we deserve. So if I miss a day of blogging here or there, it's okay. If my followers decide to yo-yo, that's okay too. Just know I haven't forgotten about you all.

Do you guys take bloggy breaks? What are some things you love to do to get the creative juices going?

WEEKEND WISHING

Happy weekend! I'm hoping to see a little bit of this over the next few days, because I kind of miss it. Maybe a little lake swimming, camping, and then catching up on Pretty Little Liars some more. Yep, in that order. Hopefully the mister sees this post, wink wink. Because the next few weeks will be kind of busy as we get ready to finally move into our new place on Wednesday. Can't wait!
Pictures to come ...

P.S. You'd look good with a polaroid camera. Make sure to check out this rockin' giveaway!

iLIFE WALLACE EDITION

Are you guys sick of hearing about Wallace yet? Oh well, I'm going to share some more picture-y goodness anyway. And don't mind the giant wall of death. Needless to say I was very uncomfortable the entire time in that place. So this is what my iPhone had to say about that...

LITTLE LADY: WRITTEN BY A GINGER

Happy Wednesday loves! Today we have the lovely Katelyn from Written by A Ginger. She writes about all of her daily inspirations, showcases her rockin' pictures and shares her faith. Yeah, she's pretty awesome. And if she looks familiar, she was a sponsor a few months back. And I am just so happy to have her back on the His Little Lady Team. Oh, speaking of which, make sure to check out all the other lovely sponsors on the right side bar. You know you want to!
