THANKSGIVING RECAP

Happy Cyber Monday friends! I hope this site brings you comfort after all that shopping. This Thanksgiving weekend was just what I needed. As long as we don't focus on the fact that every pound I lost in the past month and a half of workouts came right back in a two day span. The way I see it that equals a successful Thanksgiving, right? And as always, the stuffing and pumpkin pie did not disappoint. The weekend brought great food, family, dessert parties with friends, dinner dates and live music, Christmas shopping, Christmas music, and Christmas movies. Those movies may or may not have included Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Jingle All The Way, and A Mom for Christmas. Whoever knows that last one is officially moved into my best friend status ::winks:: Next up is finding that perfect tree. Our first Christmas tree as a married couple (since we didn't get one last year). I can hardly contain myself!

What fun things did you do this Thanksgiving weekend?

  1. I have to admit...I watched Elf too many times to be acceptable this past weekend–and loved every minute of it! I can't wait to see your tree! I got two (!!) this past weekend (one for my parent's house and one for my apartment). I'm just hoping it stays up for the duration of the holiday...I'm not confident in my stand haha.

  3. My favorite part, aside from all the yummy food, was staying up late playing card games with my extended family. It's nice to put the rowdy kids to bed so we can be rowdy!

  20. Girl, I feel you on the weight thing! I tried to run some of it off, but oh well...I guess a little holiday gluttony is to be expected :) Have fun picking out your tree! Rhett and I have some random hand-me-down fake tree that we decorated together and it was fun. It's all about being together! Also, this reminds me that I need to get Jingle All the Way because I love it.

  32. Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving doll! That's fantastic! And I know you have been ready for X-mas for a while now! haha! I will admit I am a lover of the old school claymation cartoons of yester year! And my favorite story ever is Dickens Christmas Carol! The redemption is so heartwarming!

  41. Aw, so glad to hear it all went beautifully. Yay! Wishing you both oodles of similar happy times! As for the pounds you feel you gained back, as you say, that's all part and parcel of big yummy holidays, and you'll lose 'em again (NOT THAT YOU NEED TO, DUH!), just like I'll lose the few I need to ahead of southern summer. Dratted excess baggage...poundage! Heh heh. xo

I've never seen A Mom For Christmas, but you've definitely sprouted some interest.
If I go out and rent it ASAP, can I still be at bestfriend status? ;)

Can't wait to see what you and the mister find while tree hunting.
