TAKE TIME

I don't know if I mentioned this on my blog or not, but the mister and I are on an exercise/diet for the month of November. Taking time to really focus on your health and happiness is just good for the soul. Especially with this upcoming month to reflect on those things we are grateful for. Today I am grateful for my body. I have put this body of mine through so many things in the past years. Countless sleepless nights, sometimes a lack of balance resulting in some pretty bad falls, broken bones, eating issues. Today I'm listening to my body and taking a break from the blog today to focus on myself and healing. So thank you Albert Einstein for reminding me that we always have time. I have time to answer my emails. I have time to blog. I have time to watch my favorite TV shows. I have time to give hugs&kisses to the mister. I have time to enjoy all of these things, one step at a time.

*In the meantime, don't forget to enter this giveaway. The winner will be announced this Friday.

  5. I always try to remember that what I am putting in my body really matters! More and more I am realizing how my body reacts to each food. It makes eating healthy easy when you feel good :) I think this is a good thing. But I do hope that you will cheat a little for Thanksgiving?

  7. Couldn't agree more. But it is so hard sometimes. Especially if you are impatient as I am. I want to do all things at once, and that always ends up in doing nothing good enough. And then you realize you need more time to do it all over again and it takes even longer than it would if I did one thing at a time. Argh. I wish I listen to my body and my reason more. This is one good remainder. Thank you :D

  9. You're so right babe. You need time away from everything to give your body some 'you time'.

Wish I had the will power to diet & not get seduced by chocolate everyday.. ;) xx

  10. Our bodies are remarkable, yet we're always pushing them - our bodies definitely need a break from the sleepless nights and bad eating habits.

  23. Good for you tj! My husband and I starting dieting/exercising back in late August and we both have lost 10 pounds! Crazy thing was that I didn't realize I needed to lose it. My husband told me that he likes me better now that I've lost weight, because I never complain about being too fat or that my clothes don't fit me right :). Good luck on your journey!

  28. i have been doing the same thing, which can feel overwhelming sometimes (i recently went gluten free) but i love the idea of making a month dedicated to it, because in the end it's much about habit and routine; the first bit is always the hardest, then it becomes normal. i think i will join you in declaring this a month of loving my body and self and not think of it is as a list of things i can't have! xo

  45. So happy to hear you're taking care of yourself {and it's such a good reminder too!}. Sometimes when we're so busy on focusing on others, or other focus factors {career, blogging, etc}, basic healthy habits run out the door. I'm working on getting back on the healthy horse too - thanks for the continued inspiration!
