HELLO OCTOBER

image via.
You guys, we made it through September! Was it just me or was that a month that needed to end about 3 weeks ago?! On a happy note, I finally ordered myself a camera. Can't wait to start snapping pictures again. Just in time for the holiday season (which couldn't come at a better time).

On the list of festivities to accomplish this month:
+ Decorate the apartment.
+ Make Halloween DIY projects like this.
+ Visit pumpkin patches.
+ Do a corn maze.
+ Re-read the Hunger Games trilogy.
+ Vampire Diaries season premiere.
+ Pumpkin carving.
+ Finding a rockin' couples costume (any ideas, send them my way!).
+ Hot chocolate drinking.
+ Go on a hayride.
+ Take one last hike for the season.
What's on your list?

  1. You should do a apartment tour once you are done decorating. That would be fun!

  13. Yay for a new camera! My husband and I have had a pretty tough September, too, so we're looking forward to taking it easy in October. Pumpkin patches, kettle corn, fall decor, and halloween costumes will fill our weekends now!

  14. Shoot.... I need a list. I haven't made a list! Now that you mention "the list" my brain is concocting all sorts of things that MUST be done. On to the season with overwhelming ventures! It's gonna be great :)

  18. I'm very tempted to read the Hunger Games...I told myself I wouldn't jump on that train but I think I've changed my mind. :) I need costume ideas as well (for a single gal)!! I was originally thinking Miss Piggy (since the Muppets are back)...but Miss Piggy w/o Kermit is no fun...so it would be better for a couple! :)

  19. Such a good list! I am loving that little sparkly pumpkin, I want to make it to give to someone! I think the bf and I are doing the whole Batman, cat woman thing, though after reading an interview with anne hathaway on how much she had to work out to get into her costume, I am having second thoughts!
On my list: Bake something with pumpkin in it to bring to share at work, a visit from my parents, and a cabin trip to breckenridge!
    Happy October to you!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love your list... most of these are on my Fall to-do list, too! :) And it's funny that you thought September dragged by... I've been wondering where the days went and thought it zipped by at lightening speed :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. A great list here, girl! I made a similar one - the top of my list was lots of hot chocolate drinking, pumpkin carving, and making my own caramel apples. I think the couples costume is a must - will be excited to see what you decide! My boyfriend has gone as a captain for the last like, seven years of his life, so there's no chance of couples costuming for me anytime soon. Sigh.

Excited for you on the new camera! Hooray!

    ReplyDelete
  36. this list is fabulous- makes me crave fall and pumpkins galore! i'm equally excited for october... i hope it is kind to us!

    ReplyDelete
  37. i'm right with you on the hot chocolate drinking. i could do that all day long :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can't wait for fall hiking!

Costume ideas: What about werewolf and vampire (aka Vampire Diaries Caroline and Tyler)? You'd make a gorgeous Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, or Tinkerbell if you wanted to go the princess/prince or Tink/Peter Pan route. Or you could both be tributes in the Hunger Games. Hooray for October (I'm finally excited about it)!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I just want to be able to start AND finish a book! Wish me luck, as I have two littles that practically run me into my bed by the time they go to sleep. I also want to make our apartment extra warm and cozy for fall :D

  68. I would totally be down for that pumpkin candle holder craft if I knew it wouldn't result in me calling poison control for my two year old and a name change for my dog. Something like princess sparkle head. You know, something that would suddenly be quite literal by the time we finished. And my husband hates glitter with a passion that could move planets. So there's that.

  69. last year, I wanted to go to a 'horror house' ... but never made it. I'm hoping to make it this year. I LOVE october~
