PITY PARTY

I'm throwing a pity party for myself, and you are all more than welcome to join me. Snacks and beverages will be provided. We'll share stories, sing kumbaya, let out a good cry, and watch every sappy chick flick known to man. Who's with me?

If you follow me on twitter than you know yesterday was not a good day. Just as I'm heading out the door to run some fun errands I come to discover that my car had been broken into. Not only that, but slept in. Luckily all that was stolen was the mister's iPod, and not my nice holga camera and insurance information (which apparently is all the rage now). Basically my car feels tarnished now, and I don't think I slept at all last night. I kept jumping up looking out the window for those fill in the blanks to come violate my property some more. A few other not so fun things have been happening but I don't want to put you on overload, so I think that will do for today.

Tomorrow's post will be a bit more happy. Promise.

  1. I'll join your pity party if you like. I can provide gin and tales of my own misfortune. Maybe some cupcakes, too. Cx

  2. Oh bless you, I can imagine how it would throw you off, other people shouldn't be in your stuff, breaking in is bad enough but sleeping in it is just awful. I hope you're feeling better xxx

  3. That is a real violation. My fiance and I both had bad days at work so we have decided to stay in tonight and eat ice-cream straight out of the tub like depressed Americans do in movies. I recommend you do to.

P.S. Do Americans really eat straight out of the tub?? If not then Hollywood has a lot to answer for...

    1. This made me laugh out loud!

Yes, I think I can speak for Americans when I say, we really do eat straight out of the tub ... But only when depressed ... Or pregnant. Haha!

  8. oh no! i'm so sorry! i felt the same way after we were robbed at gun point. i couldn't sleep for weeks and i kept looking out the window because i thought they would come back for more stuff. i don't know why people have to be such -fill in the blanks- HA! :) hope you have a much better day!

  9. i'm hoping you'll get better. i've been robbed too (and it's my laptop. and inside there's my half-finished novel--ok, now i'm angry). i'm just thinking that if only i live next to your house i would definitely go to your pity party and we'll eat so many calories (well, i'd probably eat apple with PB&J or something but who cares). anyway i love your blog, thanks for commenting on mine, and think i'm following you now.

  18. I'm so sorry to hear that! Go for a nice walk or watch a silly comedy - it always helps me take my mind off things. Or bake something yummy?
My husband once had a laptop and a passport stolen in a pub - I remember how annoyed and upset I was and it helped a bit imagining what I'd do to the thief if I ever saw them! We got the stuff back which was almost a miracle considering how massive London is!
I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!
