WHAT AM I DOING UP AT 6:30AM

Necklace: c/o Cheerfully Charmed

These past fews days have been the perfect 75 degrees, and the mister and I have been taking full advantage of exploring our new little neighborhood, throwing the frisbee and reading out on the deck. And yesterday was no exception. We decided to take full advantage of this summer day and walked around the next door neighborhood, picking out which houses we could see ourselves living in. Pretty much it all came down to the backyard. Boys and their backyards.

Moving on... Calling all romantics. Tomorrow is the hubby and I's one year anniversary. Fist pump!
And we are terrible planners. Here's where you come in. What are some fun, romantic and down right cheesy ideas you all have for me? Ready, and go!

  2. This is what you look like at 6:30 am? You are far too beautiful lol. I look grumpy and messy if I'm ever up before 8! Sounds like your'e having a lovely time exploring, and if that's your new place in the background it looks like a very cool space!

Maybe a picnic for the anniversary? If it's still warm that is. Or maybe recreate your first date? Either way I hope you have a lovely day xx

  6. Happy anniversary! I'm completely clueless, but is one year the paper anniversary? Maybe a coupon book or something related? On top of yummy food, of course :)

  7. So chic at 630 am! Congrats on your 1 year anniversary. :) I hope you do something really fun that you both love...I like the idea of a picnic too but my bf always gets annoyed with bugs. Enjoy your day! Xo

  8. Well, I think you look absolutely stunning at this early morning hour. :) Congratulations on one year! Doesn't time fly? My hubby and I always go out to a nice restaurant and visit the city where our reception was held for our anniversary. Creatures of habit. ;)

  9. well i wish i looked half that good at 6:30!!
you could go back to a spot that means a lot to you two, like where you met, first kiss, got married, etc and and re-create it, then take a picture there with your picture from the year before, in this case, you could recreate a wedding pic!

  11. You look great at 6:30! I'd probably be only half awake as I would have been up late reading in bed :P Ooh congrats on the one year anniversary! I'm not the best at ideas all the time, but what about recreating several of your favorite dates? Idk if that is a terrible idea or not, but I think it's an okay one :P Either way I hope you guys have an ah-mazing time, whatever you do! Sierra

  20. ONE YEAR YESSS!!! I vote looking at your wedding photos (or watching your wedding video) and drinking wine over a favorite homemade dinner. and maybe writing down things you want to have accomplished or where you want to be by your next anniversary (or your 10th anniversary) and putting it somewhere you'll keep to read on that anniversary :)

  21. play 7 minutes in heaven in the closet! or, recreate your first date. that's always fun. on our anniversary we shared cupcakes and went to the zoo.

    ReplyDelete
  22. You look gorgeous! x

You two should take a romantic picnic, some wine, cheese & sweets then sit back and relax with the sunset. :)

I am jealous of your seventy-five! I think yesterday, it was 100 and while today it is foretasted to be cooler (90), it is still way too hot for me.

  46. Last year we took a ferry ride to bainbridge island and drove to sequim and did the animal safari and walked down the dungeness spit. Then port Townsend for dinner! It felt like a mini vaca without gOing too far! Or a fancy dinner and movie at home are always nice!

Congrats on the anniversary and being moved in to your new place!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Gah - you are just STUNNING TJ :) Juuuust stunning!

I think that an evening picnic is a super cute idea! Also - one valentines day, I bought 7 heart shaped balloons (Husbands lucky number) and on 7 pieces of paper, put down 7 reasons that I love him. There was a note in each balloon and he had to pop each one to get the notes ;)

Eeehee... have fun whatever you do! Xx

  48. You look gorgeous at 6 am! I'm loving the necklace by the way :)

Congrats on your first anniversary! for mine, we couldn't decide who should do the planning because we both wanted to surprise each other doing something special. So we split the day in half and I planned the first half. We had a little picnic and I made cute little snacks :) then the evening he took me to dinner and we sat down at the restaurant without menus. My boyfriend had already planned what we were eating. I thought it was sweet.

I hope that sparks some ideas!

  49. Because we have kids and very little ones ( 2 and 1) we decided it best not to use too much money for this anniversary. SOOOO what we did was go to Lunch then to Petroglyph were we made each other ceramic mugs ( we painted them ) it was really fun because he made me this really ugly mug thinking i would love it hahahaha but its cute.. and then we went to the movies! Happy Anniversary and good luck!

  63. Well the first year is "paper" so maybe go see a movie or to a sporting event, and keep the tickets. I've also started writing in the "Anniversary journal" Journaling things that happened on each anniversary and goals we have marriage wise to accomplish by our next anniversary! Our 2 year was no fun because I spent the day puking my guts out-- I was pregnant, however we went to Disneyland for our 1 year, and that was a blast!

  75. This is so cheesy, but I would have dinner at the Space Needle! I want to go everytime I go up to visit my fiance, but it's expensive...and there's always a line. I think that would be fun and romantic to go up there and see the city lights while dining.

Exploring is also a fun idea, getting dressed up and walking around town or doing a brunch date instead of the typical dinner date. Going to a new place for brunch in a new area would be different! There were tons of cute places in Capital Hill that I wanted to try!
