TWENTY OF JUNE

Twenty lovely pointless rambles on the twentieth of June ...

+ Contemplating dying my hair brown. Thoughts needed!!!!!
+ The mister's birthday is in 6 days. Shout out!
+ We have to wait a whole month until we get to move in to our new apartment. Thank goodness for awesome families who don't mind us crashing with them and eating all their food.
+ Swooning over this, this and this.
+ Went to my first weight lifting class. Surrounded by women 3x my age that were able to lift 3x my weight. Embarrassment is an understatement.
+ I'm rooting for OKC.
+ I want to see Moonrise Kingdom.
+ Thinking of picking up my camera and giving photography a shot. Why not? ha
+ Spending way too much time searching everything interior design.
+ So proud of Emily for giving Ryan the boot.
+ So skeezed out by Ryan, his turquoise shoes, and his inability to understand "I can't give you this rose."
+ Why don't we dress like this anymore?
+ All I can think about is how much I want colored denims.
+ I worked out so I coud have pizza and ice cream for dinner.
+ I want more ice cream.
+ I love waking up to natural light.
+ Running into people from high school is awkward. It just is.
+ I've been living in my basketball shorts for the past three days.
+ I can't let myself finish the third Hunger Games book. I've been working on it for 5 whole months.
+ Our one year wedding anniversary is next month. This has been the best year ever.

  1. I like that you always post in the morning when I'm at my computer, your posts make my day! Well it's probably not morning in the USA, haha. :)
Pizza and ice cream for dinner - yessssss! We should make a fanclub. :)
And I'm also craving for coloured denim jeans... But I think I spend way too much on clothes lately!

As for your hemming and hawing about whether to go brunette, I personally love you as a blonde though I've no doubts you'd look beautiful as a brunette, too! :-)

    that yellow swimsuit is awesome.

when I started going to gym, I felt the sam way. And I don't even want to talk about streching before zumba class. Still want to cry from embarrrassment :S

  10. I'd love to see you with brown hair! Have you tried that look before or is it something totally new? Sounds like you are embracing change right now with the move and a new look :)

Of course, brown hair could keep you disguised when you run into your old high school classmates as well.... Just saying ;)

  14. What a gorg pic of you! I hate running into people from HS. I have lots of funny/awkward stories about that, as we've moved back to the area in which we grew up. And ditto on Ryan. Bleh. Good luck with the whole waiting on the apartment thing....and Happy Anniversary! One Year!!!!

  16. HAHA Yes! I love these.
I think the brown or a darker color would be good, but I love your blondy hair with all it's different shades! Envious, lady!!
I, too, work out just to eat all the terrible stuff I love! annnddd, YES! I am glad someone said it out loud (or online): it IS weird running into people from high school. I live in the town I graduated from and.. well, that happens almost daily.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love these post!!, make my day! : )

    ReplyDelete
  18. So, I just love everything you just stated! I'll just say ditto! And also, you look gorgeous in your dress, oh my!

  21. go brown, girl! i was blonde for years and going back to my natural
brunette color has been way more fun, ha!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can't finish the third book of the Hunger Games either!! I've tried and tried, and I can't do it. I was also thrilled when Emily gave Ryan the boot. He was so cocky. He deserved it. And lastly, I also work out so that I can feel comfortable with eating more junk food. I just can't help it. Glad you can relate :)

    xoxo, me

  23. I love these twenty randoms! So fun! As far as dyeing your hair- I think you'd be beautiful as a brunette, but you do have a ton of hair and if you hate it, it will be a long process to go back to blonde. What about some brunette lowlights to give you a feel for it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I remember seeing a girl younger than me & half the size lifting weights twice what I had. It was one of those moments where I realised, I have a long way to go! haha.

I think brown would look lovely on you p.s!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ha! These are awesome! I'm rooting for OKC too, only because I dislike Bosh who used to play for here. And because have you seen the OKC guys dress outside of basketball? Nerdy but stylish. And I def get the people from high school bit. If I see them in the grocery store, I try to turn into the nearest aisle away from them. xx

    ReplyDelete
  26. You should definitely go brown! That would be cute on you :D

  32. I like it when you ramble! Yes! To the brown hair> Your eyes will pop big time! Ant that photography session is killing me! I wish i 1. lived in Seattle so I could have her shoot my family and2. Have those mad photo skills. Speaking of photography...yes...give it a shot! I had been contemplating this for a while, and then my hubby finally got me a caera and told me to just do it. I am so not a pro and have a LONG way top go to be the kind of photographer i want to be, but it has been so much fun and a little extra cash hasn't hurt either!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hahaha I love your random thoughts! You should totally keep doing the weightlifting class. There's one at our gym and I love it. It took a little time to build up, but I can do a good amount of weight now. Yay! Also, yeah people from high school...always awkward. If I see people I went to HS with, I'll duck away if I have time pre eye contact. Everybody probably thinks I'm a huge ass.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i'm happy that emily finally sent ryan home too! i love how he was trying to change her mind, sorry Ry. hahaha and I totally think I can eat whatever i want after i workout. i love this post :)

  39. Haha, why can't we dress like that anymore!? I'm rooting for OKC too but it doesn't look good.

I felt so empty after reading The Hunger Games, I finished them in 3 days because that's all I did. I felt like now what? Haha. And I hated the ending, but tell me what you think when you finish it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hurry & finish Hunger Games so you can start reading them again! I loved them 10x more the second read through (I just finished Mockingjay again last night & loved the ending this time around).

Maybe add some lowlights first before you go all the way brown? See if you like it a little darker before you fully commit.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I love waking up to natural light too! It's the best way to wake up :)
I could live in slouchy shorts and pants all day long.
&& I feel the same way at the gym. I have to stop running after 20 minutes, while older ladies who were running when I got there were still running after I left the gym.

  42. I really, really want colored denim, too. I've been lusting a ton.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ryan's turquoise shoes!! Hahahah what a dummy. And a word of advice on colored jeans: tread carefully. It's nearly impossible to buy just one pair. Next thing you know, you'll be wanting a pair in EVERY COLOR. It's dangerous dangerous territory.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'd definitely be interested in seeing you with brown hair!! And happy early anniversary!

    ReplyDelete
  45. OhMyGosh that picture is *stunning*. <3
    luuuv this post. :D cutecute.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh Ryan Gosling!!!!!

I say dye your hair!! you can always go back.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I knew I could count on you for some Bachelorette gossip! Emily rocks for giving Ryan the boot, and WHAT were those shoes? He's a total weirdo. I want ice cream right about now too :) And Happy almost Anniversary - so exciting - doesn't it fly by?

  49. Dark hair?! YES -- DO IT!!

Last summer I convinced one of my faux-blonde friends to go dark, and she loooooved it. I swear she's never received to many compliments.
I think it's striking and stunning.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wow so much is going on for you! Must be sooo exciting. And early congratulations and happy wishes to you as you get ready to celebrate your first wedding anniversary!! =) I recently got married too and can't wait for the first year! =)

  85. i am in love with this photo and with this post !!! Ok, first off, I LOVE your hair blonde...that's my input--

What is Moonrise Kingdom, and what kind of ice cream do you like? Brand and flavor?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Honestly I love your hair the way it is!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. truthfully, i think your hair looks perfect blonde. but perhaps that's because i'm brunette and we humans always want what we don't have. i'm sure you'll look gorgeous either way.

that video of little ryan gosling--i watched the whole thing with my mouth open. he had the same exact face/head but on a much smaller body. so weird and hilarious. and charming. haha

i'm not a fan of running into people from high school, but at 11 am, i get to board a flight to my hometown, which is crawling with high school friends/acquaintances/peopleineverwanttoseeagain. all just to see my boy. it'll be worth it :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. I was rooting for OKC as well and it's very sad to see them lose but they are still a young team. They can win the championship next year!

I think your hair is beautiful the way it is. No need to change it but if you do I would like it if you keep us updated.

    ReplyDelete
