hello seattle

shoes: urbanog.com, dress: urban outfitters, top: jcrew, head piece: free people
happy belated easter everyone. i hope your holiday was full of laughs, remembrance, egg hunting, and cadbury eggs.

early saturday morning, the baby SIL and i strapped ourselves in for a fourteen hour drive back up to seattle for a little getaway and some quality time to be with family. this has been the longest i have been away from home. i forgot just how beautiful washington is with the lush evergreen trees, the beautiful lakes, the unexpected sunshine, and of course the puget sound. hello seattle. this will also mark the longest i will be away from the mister. already dying a little on the inside. but back to the good stuff.

so far i have slept, had long bed time chats with the mother, ate great food, cuddled my little man (my dog), constant texts with the big man (the husband), scheduled "playdates" with great friends, and best of all, not cleaning one single dish. oh the joys of a dishwasher and parents who insist on doing everything for you.

hello seattle.

  7. Must be nice to have your parents do it all for you, ha! I had drive an hour round trip to cook dinner for my dad & boyf last night (mom was out of town visiting my grandmother) AND clean up afterwards while the boys played!

    LOOOVING that dress.

I wish I could go back to WA, I've only ever been once to Port Angeles.

  20. Oh so perfect!! But that constant fighting inside you of, on the one hand, loving being 'home' and all the good stuff that comes with it, and on the other hand, missing your actual home and hubs like crazy is a feeling that i know well! Hope you can completely enjoy your trip!! xoxo

  21. I'm loving that denim top with that skirt and the boots and... well, the whole outfit really. And I feel you about missing husbands. I went to my parents home the other day, only an hour from our house, without him because he had to work. By the end of the day I was missing him sorely. And that was maybe 12 hours!

  69. TJ - Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I love new readers / visitors :)

Your blog is so much fun! This post got me wondering something... my husband and I are heading out on a massive road trip this summer. We're going to be in Seattle for one day and night.. like.. maybe 18 hours total, including sleep. Other than the Space Needle WHERE SHOULD WE GO AND WHAT SHOULD WE DO? Let me know, if you have time :)
