little notes

dear playlist,
you are the ultimate valentine gushiness that my little heart needed for the holiday. not only do you include the talented and oh so missed whitney houston, but you also include the many songs that played at our wedding. little known fact, i walked down the aisle to a guitarist playing "i'm yours" by jason mraz, and had our first dance to "love ain't gonna let you down" by jamie cullum. love, love, love.

dear hubby,
thank you for the extra snuggles and kisses yesterday morning. i love that you are my first and last valentine. you are my best friend, and the love of my life. but i'll leave the rest of this mushy talk for the mister when he gets home.

dear whitney,
why did you have to go? your talent and beauty will never be forgotten. and in honor of you, i watched Cinderella starring brandy, whoopi goldberg, jason alexander, and you of course as the lovely fairy godmother. please tell me someone knows the movie i am talking about!!!!

dear bachelor ben,
honestly how many people have to warn you about courtney's evil and vindictive ways before you get it. i'm starting to believe that you both deserve each other.

dear l'oreal haircolor,
i bought you yesterday in an attempt to fix up my boring hair. please don't let me down when i try you later tonight. anyone else tried this before? good reviews?
pictures will soon follow :)

dear readers,
i'm so sorry i have been neglecting you all the past few days. i've been hard at work designing a few blogs for people that i just haven't had any time to reply to any of your lovely comments. but don't worry, i'll be back soon!

dear yesterday's mexican lunch,
i'm pretty sure you're still digesting inside my belly, but i don't mind because you were so very, VERY delicious!

dear project runway re-runs,
i could watch you over and over again. especially when you have my favorites like christian to keep me occupied. "so fierce!"

dear amanda seyfried,
just read through your GLAMOUR magazine. and you are looking super gorgeous in your spread. just adore you! you will always be karen smith to me!

dear self,
remember how precious life is. get out there and do something unpredictable! no regrets.

  1. Is that a new header--or am i really unobservant? Either way I really like it.

Anyway good luck with the hair colour, I can' wait to see some pictures! And dying your hair is unpredictable--well for me anyway, i am a bit of a wimp and have never dyed my hair--knowing my luck it would totally go wrong!

  4. I always use Loreal throughout the winter. I have no issues with it. Always works for me, as long as I use a shade or two lighter or darker than my current color. when I'm going real blonde, I go to a professional or it comes out looking yellow or orange instead of blonde. GL :)

  5. Wonderful world of disney's Cinderella was all I could think about over the weekend. I was so sad that I couldn't watch it because I don't have it with me. In Taiwan. And I was a little too lazy to look for it online. But at least someone watched it.

  6. what color are did you buy? i've never used loreal. i'm a john frieda girl but that's only because i have fake red hair. it's different when you are blonde. i hope it goes well.

  9. I had forgotten about Whitney being in Cinderella! I haven't seen that movie in forever, I should definitely watch it again! We had Mexican food for supper last night (romantic Vday date? probably not the best choice, haha) and I'm pretty sure it's absolutely no good for my body but it's SO good for my tastebuds! haha

  12. That last song on your playlist ... Unchained Melody. Ohhhh I love that song. For some reason I became attached to it in high school, and listened to it so very often, that now when I hear it I'm instantly back in my awkward confused teenager mind :) And strangely enough, it isn't that bad, looking back.

    So thanks :)

  29. i alwwwaaays dye my hair out of the box. and l'oreal is my go-to. i found the perfect color once upon a time and i haven't used anything else since. boxes are the best because their cheaper and bonus points, if you don't like the way it turns out it fades much quicker!

  30. This was so stinkin cute. One- I always dye my hair out of a box, and Always use L'Oreal. Can't remember the last time they let me down. Two- I know what Cinderella movie you are talking about : )

  44. I have a confession to make. The brandy, whitney houston cinderalla movie your talking about? I watched it every week as a child/teen. I would sing along and thought I sounded as good as they did. (I may even have acted a bit of it out from time to time). End of confession, I feel better now.
