in the spirit of thanksgiving...

i felt it necessary that since i lacked any holiday spirit when it came to halloween this year that i should do a much better job this month. with that said, it is the spirit of thanksgiving! and as so, i challenge myself and all of you to each day come up with something NEW that you are thankful for from now up until that great morning of the big feast. i promise that each day you'll start to wake up happier and more optimistic as we really seek out those happy things in place of those that don't go our way.
so to kick off this thanksgiving...ness....?
i am thankful for my healthy body. i know that sounds silly, but i truly am grateful for the opportunity to use my body to explore such beautiful things in this world. i pray i never take any step for granted.

i hope you decide to join in on the fun. i promise, your days will be brighter! so how about it? what are you grateful for this day??

p.s. another mini feature of mr. taylor and his lady can be found over HERE today. just lovin' on those blogging features right now ;)

  11. That is a PERFECT thing to be grateful for! I'm guilty of taking my body for granted nearly every day. When I make a fuss about being tired of running, I need to take a step back and think of all the people who would love to run, but can't because their bodies won't let them. I am so very blessed to have the body I've got - even on my "fat" days. :o)

  16. Thank you for your comment! As someone who does not have particularly good health, I'm glad some people appreciate theirs. I am thankful for whenever I am healthy, though!

  17. I've been thinking a lot lately about what I'm thankful for. Some things sound silly (like our car, our apartment,) I know it all makes my life easier. I'm also thankful for my body. As much as I may think I dislike it sometimes, I realize that's because *I* don't take care of it like I should. I'm grateful for all it does for me.

  18. Amen! So many people, women especially, waste so much of their lives hating their bodies instead of appreciating all the wonderful things it can do and using it as much as possible.

  48. such a perfect post...and a lovely reminder :) today i am thankful for the time that that i was able to spend with my mom, auntie and grandma this past weekend. living in different states lessens the time that i get to spend with them...and it is definitely a rarity that i get to see them all together :) it made for perfect bonding time {and midnight dance parties in the living room!} xoxoxo brynn
