san fran

friday, you are here. i'm actually quite surprised, because i feel like this week went by extremely fast. or is that just me? i won't complain though because this weekend is bringing freedom and road trips. yep, mr. taylor and i are driving to san francisco this weekend and will be getting back late Wednesday night. super excited! never been, but if you have any "must see" sites, let me know. on the to do list so far: chinatown, golden gate bridge, full house (duh), lombard street, and riding a cable car. if i lack in my posts while i'm there, i deeply apologize ahead of time. but mr. taylor has a few business meetings each day so i'll have a little me-time to devote to all of you in cute little coffee shops. ooooh, i feel like those artsy people who type on their laptops, wear all black and drink black coffee already. go me!

BUT

if you just can't get enough of me, go ahead and follow me on all my other social outlets:
                                        instagram (user name = hislittlelady)

oh, and before i forget, the winner of tuesday's giveaway for ashley's SHINE necklace is (drumroll please):

congratulations Olivia, send me your email address so I can hook you up! yay for first giveaways!

p.s. was featured over HERE today for a little guest post about my love life with mr. taylor. go and check it out if you so desire! and see you in san francisco!

  3. You must eat clam chowder at the Hog Island Oyster Co! Mmm... which is along the ferry strip (fisherman's wharf)... also Ghirardelli Square (chocolate!) is fun to see.. and drive over the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito for lunch (or get a bunch of snacks from Trader Joes and eat on the rocks by the water)one day~ great views, adorable town... where all the San Fran elite live & play! Hmm, Haight/Ashbury is not worth the maze of a drive to find but you must go to as many thrift/vintage stores as possible.. San Franciscans have great style. Phew. Obviously, I love all things about that city. Have so much fun!! xoxo

  5. Oh how fun! My hubby's family lives a half hour outside of San Fran so we go just about every time we visit them! You have to go grab a free chocolate sample at the Ghirardelli chocolate factory! :) And check out the Palace of Fine Arts too! GREAT place to take pictures!

  8. girlfriend. You best be going shopping at Union Square too. Do it for me. There's a huge and slightly overwhelming H&M, which I always miss dearly in Utah. And I pretty much agree with everything Hailey Marie just said. Except everyone needs to go to Haight/Ashbury at least once in their lives. So much history! Or maybe I just really love the 60's. But the seafood on the pier is probably some of the best in the world. Gosh, I want to go to sf now! I miss living only 2 hours away :(

  14. Def Fisherman's Warf for some chowder. And you have to see the seals at Pier 39! If you can, a tour of Alcatraz is pretty cool. But you have to book that trip :)

  21. You MUST go to Tartine http://www.tartinebakery.com/ there is no sign on the door and there will be a line. Get their early because they sell out of stuff. The best bakery EVER. And mostly only know by locals.
Also, Betelnut is good for Asian food, kind of trendy, but fun. http://www.betelnutrestaurant.com/
Delores Park is a cool spot. There is a buffalo grove in the park.
Park Chalet http://www.parkchalet.com/ is cool, because you can sit picnic like outside, but the food is just OK.
The view from the TV towers on a clear day is amazing.
    Have fun!

  22. I grew up 1.5 hrs from San Francisco and love that city so much!!! Its been 5 years since i've been back, but {if it's still there} I highly recommend 'The Stinking Rose' and awesome italian restaurant in little Italy that has the best puttanesca I've ever had. & I agree with all of the above mentions, especially true about the H&M in Union Square... a dream! Have a fabulous time, I'm sure you will love it so much you'll already be thinking about the next time you'll visit once you're on your way home :-D
